One of the best parts of living in the Portland/Vancouver area? The summers. July brings an incredible lineup of festivals, parades, and community gatherings that remind us why we love calling this place home. Here's what's on our radar this month!

BASTILLE DAY FESTIVAL
July 12th | REDD East

Portland's longest-running Bastille Day celebration is back, bringing French culture, music, food, art, and fun for all ages (and it's completely free) There will be plenty of joie de vivre to go around. Liberté, fraternité, and a really good croissant? Oui, please!

GRESHAM FESTIVAL OF THE ARTS
July 16-18 | Downtown Gresham

Gresham's beloved Festival is a free, family-friendly weekend celebrating the art and culture the community has to offer, featuring live music, food trucks, vendors, and a kids zone. Don't forget to snag one of the limited-edition tote bags while you're there!

HAREFEST

July 16-18 | Clark Co Fairgrounds

This three-day tribute band festival features some of the greatest acts in the nation, with music, food, drinks, and onsite camping. This year's lineup includes tributes to Queen, Fleetwood Mac, Led Zeppelin, the Eagles, ABBA, Bon Jovi, and many more across two stages. It's a 21+ party!

MILWAUKIE PORCHFEST
July 17, 24, & 31st | Milwaukie Locations

Now in its 7th year, this free festival of live performances on porches, driveways, and public spaces. Walk or bike the neighborhood to catch everything from rock bands and brass quintets to comedy acts and outdoor drag shows.

OPERA IN THE PARK
July 26th-28th | Shute Park & Peninsula Park

Founded in 2003, Opera in the Park Portland brings world-class opera to the community each summer, completely free of charge, uniting acclaimed soloists and local musicians for performances in public parks. No tickets, no dress code, just gorgeous music and good company.

PORTLANDIA MERMAID PARADE
July 24th-26th | Tom McCall Waterfront Park

This free, all-ages waterfront promenade celebrates water, creativity, and community with merfolk, sea creatures, and ocean allies of all kinds marching through downtown in a joyful wave of color and costumes.
