One of the great things about Portland, Oregon is the love and support for local economy. Pair that with a non-profit that saves home owners money, creates jobs, and supports positive social-change – - and you have Clean Energy Works Oregon.

Clean Energy Works Oregon (CEWO) is a non-profit program established to reduce energy waste by encouraging homeowners to take direct action. Due to partnerships with utility companies, local lenders, Energy Trust of Oregon, and more, CEWO offers home owners no-money-down financing to retrofit their home with energy efficient upgrades.

Check out this short video to see how it works!

Applying is easy, and once you are accepted you will be appointed with a “personal home energy advisor”. Your advisor will perform an on-site home energy assessment and be your contact every step of the way. According to the website, they will help you determine which upgrades will result in the most savings for you, and with their financing options, these savings will help offset the cost of your loan.

This is definitely worth looking into for any of you energy conscious home owners out there! If you do, please let us know, we would love to document your story along the way and share it with our clients!
