Stephanie entered into real estate after a long career in state and local politics, policy work, and public relations. (Yes, she actually used her political science degree!) Throughout the years, she enjoyed buying, fixing up, and selling old homes, learning about remodeling and interior design, and gardening. At a certain point, she discovered that daydreaming about real estate was a sign to jump into the business, and she's never looked back. She considers it an honor and a thrill to guide her clients through the home-buying and selling process.

Her ideal adventure for an urban Portland day: Stephanie loves to explore Portland's vibrant and unique neighborhoods and amenities. Starting with a long walk to and from breakfast, followed by shopping local (The Arrangement, Powell’s, Hilary Horvath Flowers, etc.), some downtime, perhaps with a good book or leisurely nap, and another long walk to and from a local restaurant for dinner. With my family, of course, and preferably on a sunny day, but the rain doesn't deter her.

Her Superpower: Calm during a storm. Whether it be sticky politics to navigate, advising clients with nightmare PR problems or guiding buyers and sellers through tense real estate negotiations, Stephanie is often credited for remaining thoughtful, level-headed and strategic in tough situations.

Superpower she wishes she had: Exercising at dawn.

Favorite moment in real estate: Stephanie found that when she wrote her first-ever offer and it was accepted over numerous competing offers an absolute thrill, but it's the lasting relationships she establishes with her clients that are her favorite moments.

Favorite Portland neighborhood, and why? As a long-time resident of NE neighborhoods, she prefers her own (Alameda) but also thinks Sellwood and the South Waterfront are pretty cool, too.
