He/ Him

Ryan moved to Portland from Texas 8 years ago, and while he misses the queso and kolaches, Oregon is now home. He got into real estate four years ago because he loves houses, plain and simple. The architecture drew him in, but the systems fascinate him – you’ll find him with his head in an attic or aptly crawling in a crawlspace to check the condition of the inner-workings of a home.

His ideal adventure for an urban Portland day: Ryan would start his day with a dive bar brunch at Slim's and then head south to check out vintage housewares at either Hippo Hardware or Old Portland. While in SE, he'd have to stop by Portland Nursery for a stroll and to grab a couple of plants before heading back north. On his way, Ryan would grab a bite at Miss Delta for his southern food fix (their cornmeal-fried catfish is approved by this Texan!) and he'd end the day watching the sun set at the Willamette Blvd lookout with friends.

His Superpower: Ryan's superpower is making a cheesecake so good you'll be a little mad at him.

Superpower he wishes he had: Ryan wishes he could talk to trees -- they're so old they'd have many good stories to share and secrets to tell!

Favorite moment/s in real estate: Ryan once helped a client navigate a tricky and complicated situation involving an oil tank on a home the client had owned for 35 years. The look of relief when she finally sold her home and was able to realize her retirement dream of moving to the Oregon Coast reaffirmed his love of this career.

Favorite Portland neighborhood, and why? Ryan's favorite neighborhood is St. Johns, where he and his wife, Beth, have owned their home for six years. He loves the tight-knit community, small town vibes and independent businesses. You can't go anywhere without running into a current friend or a future one!
