Owner | PRincipal Broker, Team Nest
A Broker for nearly 15 years and counting, and co-owner of Urban Nest Realty, Rachel is a big fan of The Wizard of Oz and believes wholeheartedly that "There's No Place Like Home." She loves houses of all kinds, and is an old house aficionado with a particular soft spot for everything mid-century modern. She's a terrific negotiator and advocate for her clients, and believes that a willing buyer and willing seller—with the help of a great agent—can work out just about anything.
Her ideal Friday afternoon in Portland would start with shopping boutiques on Alberta and Mississippi (she's still searching for her very own pair of ruby red slippers), picking up an iced decaf non-fat latte at Ristretto Roasters, spending time with her dog Ramona and her cat Finn McCool, cuddling up with her hunky Irish husband, and drinking a glass of Vieux Telegraph Chatueau-Neuf du Pape, 2007.
Her superpower: Let’s just say they don't call her the Bidding War Queen for nothing.
Superpower she wishes she had: The patience of a Saint.
Favorite moment/s in real estate: When she takes clients to see a house, walks through the front door, and a look of delight and surprise appears on their faces. Nothing beats that moment where everyone knows we've found "the one!"
Favorite Portland neighborhood, and why? Alberta Arts - it's her go-to street for everything, from buying housewarming gifts at Red Sail, to picking up small art pieces from The Guardino Gallery (best in Portland, in her not-so-humble opinion), to grabbing a truly amazing Happy Hour meal at Ciao Vito. Rachel also happened to be at the very first Last Thursday, way back many years ago, so it feels like she and Alberta have kind of grown up together in Portland.
