PORTLAND WINTER LIGHT FESTIVAL
February 7th-9th | Various Portland Locations
This all-ages event promises to turn the city into a tapestry of light and color, illuminating the Portland cityscape for 3 days. Building facades will glow with animated projections, light will dance on the water of the Willamette from the bridges above, and performances will fill the night air with excitement and whimsy.
RAPTOR ROAD TRIP
February 9th, 10:00 AM - 2:00 PM | Sauvie Island
Enjoy guided bird viewing and sharpen your hawk identification skills on this special day devoted to raptors. Experienced naturalists and hawk experts will host activities and answer questions at three locations around Sauvie Island. Bring binoculars and field guides if you have them. Spotting scopes and a crash course in raptor identification will be provided at all three viewing locations.
CHINESE NEW YEAR PARADE
February 9th, 11:20 AM - 3:30 PM | Downtown Portland
Usher in the Year of the Pig in Downtown Portland! Drummers, dancing lions, and a 100-foot dragon will parade from the Portland Chinatown Museum through downtown Portland, and up to the Oregon Historical Society for an afternoon of performances and festivities.
WORST DAY OF THE YEAR RIDE

Join thousands of riders as they pedal in honor of one of the coldest and wettest days of the year. The Worst Day of the Year Ride is a beloved Portland tradition. Regardless of the weather, fun-loving cyclists grab their friends, don their costumes, and gather to ride their bikes and wave their silly flags.
