In the early 90’s, Howard stepped off a Greyhound bus with nothing but a skateboard, his backpack, and high hopes that he’d landed in a place that would change his life. Being from New York, he wanted to make a home somewhere with a laid back, fun culture where he could find some stability and build a life. Portland was that place. Here, Howard fell in love, got married, raised a daughter, and built a successful real estate business that has helped his family thrive – all while creating wealth and prosperity for good people in his community.
With decades of diverse experience – as a project manager, counselor, building and land owner, business mentor, and principal real estate broker – Howard leverages his knowledge to help his clients through transactions big and small. Howard’s insight into various markets, facility with numbers, and accurate sense of value complement his ability to coordinate all the moving parts of a transaction while helping clients through any difficulty. Howard prides himself about treating his clients with the same integrity as he would his friends and family.
But make no mistake: at the heart of Howard’s business success is his love of small, connected communities. When he started in real estate, he promised himself that his business was never going to be about making money. Instead, it was going to be about building relationships, helping people reach their goals, being a part of Portland, and connecting to community. To this day, he’s kept this promise to himself. Howard wants our communities to be places where we can walk down the street and say hello to shopkeepers, to pass our neighbors, and know we’re all invested in each other’s success.
