Chrystal combines her professional background in architecture, interior design, and real estate to help her clients navigate the ups and downs of buying or selling a home with confidence and ease. Raised in small-town Indiana by a family of engineers, educated by big-city architects, and inspired by Portland’s vibrant community of dreamers, she brings an eclectic mix of Midwestern warmth and West Coast flair to everything she does. Her approach is grounded in strategy, education, authenticity, and compassion—all with a fun-loving attitude that makes the client experience not only successful, but enjoyable!
Her real estate journey began years ago with her first home purchase, where her design expertise and fascination with market dynamics proved valuable. As friends began turning to her for advice with their own home purchases, the shift from architecture into real estate felt like a natural next step. She loves coaching her clients to help them recognize hidden potential while avoiding money pits. On the listing side, her robust marketing package and knack for visual presentation routinely results in bidding wars that maximize returns with minimal days on market. Chrystal is dedicated to giving her clients a truly hands-on, full-service experience to ensure they feel supported every step of the way.
Her ideal adventure for an urban Portland day: Chrystal’s perfect Portland day would kick off wandering the rose gardens at Peninsula Park with her trusty canine sidekick, Gustavo, followed by brunch at Honey Milk. From there, she’d pop into her favorite design and vintage shops on the central east side, then head south to Sellwood to cheer on the Rose City Rollers. In the evening, you’d find her checking out a tasting menu at one of Portland’s newest restaurants, followed by a nightcap at Breakside Brewery or, on weeknights, returning home to watch the Daily Show.
Her superpower: She's a pet whisperer. Have a furry friend who’s terrified of strangers? Give it five minutes—odds are they’ll be curled up in her lap like long lost friends.
Superpower she wishes she had: Teleportation! She could do a quick run on the slopes of Mt Hood, grab a bagel in NYC, let her dog out for a potty break, and still make it to a showing across town before noon (with a minimal carbon footprint!)
Favorite moment/s in real estate: Chrystal loves advocating for the underdog in a bidding war and coming out on top. Nothing is more rewarding than helping clients secure their dream home, even if they don’t have the deepest pockets in the fight. She also loves getting house updates from her clients as they add personal touches to their new abodes (and is always happy to offer her design expertise whenever it’s needed!).
Favorite Portland neighborhood, and why? Nearly 20 years ago, Chrystal visited Portland for the first time to see her brother. He took her to Radioroom in the Alberta Arts District. “This is the neighborhood where weird artsy-fartsy people hang out. You’ll like it,” she remembers him saying. Coming from the Midwest, living in such a cool neighborhood seemed completely out of reach. A decade later, she became a proud homeowner of an adorable bungalow just around the corner from that very spot, which felt like a monumental personal victory. She's grateful to be able to call one of Portland’s most diverse and vibrant neighborhoods home, where an eclectic mix of amazing restaurants, shops, and community events are just a stroll away.
