Real estate was always something Anna wanted to do, but the restaurant where she was working closed during the pandemic, finally pushing her into it. She wishes she would've made the leap sooner because she found something she truly loves. Anna was working downtown at the time, constantly meeting new people and loving every minute of it, so the transition felt really natural. She's always needed to stay busy, be around people, and have a lot going on at once, and real estate turned out to be the perfect fit. Every day looks a little different; she gets to connect with people, problem-solve, and help guide clients through one of the biggest decisions of their lives. It genuinely doesn't feel like work.
Ideal adventure for an urban Portland day: Okay, so Anna’s perfect Portland day probably starts with a morning hike at Mt. Tabor just to get outside and reset before the day really starts. After that, she's absolutely heading to Screen Door for brunch and maybe grabbing a mimosa with brunch. The afternoon would be something low-key, hanging out at a park with friends, watching the dogs, and having a picnic. Then dinner at The Heist in Woodstock, and ending the night around a fire just talking with people she loves. That's genuinely her perfect day.
Her superpower: Anna thrives in chaos, and she genuinely means that. Real estate moves fast, emotions run high, timelines shift constantly, and there are always a hundred moving parts at once. She's really good at staying calm through all of it, keeping things organized, and making sure her clients always feel informed and taken care of no matter what's happening behind the scenes. She also just really loves learning and figuring things out, so whenever something unexpected comes up she's already thinking about how to solve it.
Superpower she wishes she had:
Teleportation, no question. Showings, traveling, and being home in time to hang out with her dogs. She would use it constantly.
Favorite Moments in Real Estate: Closing day is always going to be number one for Anna. Handing over keys and watching everything come together, especially for first-time buyers, never gets old. But honestly, one of her favorite things is that a lot of her clients don't just disappear after closing. They stay in touch, grab coffee, and a lot of those relationships turn into real friendships. Getting to be part of such a huge moment in someone's life and then actually staying connected afterward is something she really values.
Favorite Portland Neighborhood": Woodstock, easily. Anna says it just has such a good vibe. It feels relaxed and neighborhood-oriented, but there's always something going on, great local spots, really good food, and a strong sense of community. You're close to the river, easy to get around, and it's honestly just a really easy place to love. She recommends it to clients all the time.
