Join Pix and Bar Vivant for screenings of your favorite classic films every Wednesday evening this summer. Movies will be shown in the outdoor courtyard. A six tap Beer & Cider Garden will feature a special drink inspired by the evening’s film. May movies include Young Frankenstein and Amelie. Minors are welcome, but viewer discretion is advised, so be sure to check the schedule before bringing youngsters along.

May 9th-15th | Hollywood Theater
This annual film festival celebrates the best new work from independent animators around the globe. This years schedule will include additional special events, including thematic programs, guest organizations, displays in the theatre’s lobby, after-parties, and more. The festival features a mix of new work from masters of the art and remarkable amateurs, showcasing the art form’s diversity as one of the fine arts, and as a uniquely liberating tool for creative expression.

The St. Johns Bizarre Street Fair is a one-day Art/Craft/Music event in downtown St. Johns celebrating the unique character of North Portland. Each year the Bizarre kicks off Portland’s street fair season with performances by an eclectic lineup of local bands, dozens of craft vendors and artists, and a beer garden featuring Occidental Brewing Company and Barrique Barrel. As is tradition, the Bizarre takes place on the same day as the historic St. Johns Parade.

May 21st, 6:00 AM-6:00 PM | Portland to Pacific City
Pedal to the coast with 3,000 riders in this fundraiser for the American Lung Association. Four different start locations, with routes from 25-100 miles, ensure the event has a little something for everyone. Ride through Oregon’s wine country, forests, and small towns to the finish line at  Cape Kiwanda on the Oregon Coast.
