This literary festival brings together thousands of readers of all ages for a line up of activities and events featuring more than 80 authors, as well as booksellers, independent publishers and other literary organizations. Enjoy on-stage interviews and discussions, children's story time, pup-up events, a book fair and exhibition, writing workshops, live music, food trucks, and a beer and wine garden.

November 14th-15th, 10AM-6PM | Oregon Convention Center
This two day event celebrates plant-based living with free food samples, health and nutrition speakers, chef demonstrations, fashion & beauty stage presentations, fitness stage workouts, restaurants, films and activities for kids and teens. Speakers will be covering topics that include thriving on a plant-based diet, getting enough nutrition as an athlete, combatting disease, and stopping cancer. There’s something for everyone!

November 21st-22nd, 10AM-6PM | Montgomery Park
The 35th annual fundraiser for the Audubon Society of Portland celebrates nature in the works of national and regional artists and authors. Bid on beautiful artwork, gifts for your favorite naturalists and birdwatchers, and wonderful Northwest outings, excursions and weekend getaways in the Silent Auction. Meet and learn about the Audubon’s education birds and support the Audubon by purchasing nest boxes for your own backyard.

Ecstatic Fire, a Fairytale Fire Circus Adventure features some of the Northwest's premiere fire performers in two unique shows in one night. The early, family-friendly show weaves a tale with some of your favorite fantasy characters. Delve into the darker side of fairytales at the late show (21+).

November 27th - January 3rd | Oregon Zoo
It wouldn't be the holidays in Portland without a visit to the Oregon Zoo's annual winter festival ZooLights. As you explore the zoo grounds, you'll see a dazzling display of a million and half lights, and experience your zoo in a whole new light. Much-loved displays from past years have included life-size 3-D hippos and crocodiles, leaping reindeer, playful penguins and fantastical butterfly silhouettes.
