Portlanders are still out there absorbing as much sunshine as they can before the colder weather creeps around, and there are so many ways to stay engaged with your community and neighbors. Great Horror Campout
Aug. 1st - 2nd, 8PM Onwards | Beavercreek, OR.
Prepare to be scared tentless at this overnight camping misadventure that ranges from the somewhat spooky 'Chicken Zone' to a 'high octane' interactive horror experience. If you've ever wondered if you'd keep your wits about you in your favorite horror movie, this is as close as you can get while still keeping your head!

The 48 Hour Film Project
Aug. 1st - 3rd | The Hollywood Theatre
Write, shoot, edit, and score a short film - in just 48 hours. At registration you'll be assigned a character, a prop, a line of dialogue, and a genre, all to include in your movie. 48 hours later the resulting masterpiece will be screened (and judged!) at Hollywood Theatre.

Portland Mini Market
Aug. 9th - 10th, Noon - 6PM | 1100 SE Grand Ave. Portland
Renegade Craft Fair (finally) comes to Portland with this lively outdoor pop-up fair celebrating the creative energy of a particular city or neighborhood. Boasting indie crafters, delicious food & booze, community-based workshops, music, and much more, it's like all your favorite Etsy sellers in the one place.

Green Neighborhoods Festival
Aug. 16th - 11AM - 5PM | Peninsula Park
Create wildlife habitat corridors, community share spaces, and gardens to green your neighborhood. Participate in sustainable project workshops at this non-profit event that encourages communities and neighbors to come together in the creation of green spaces in their 'hood.

Savor The Pearl
Aug. 18th - 24th | The Pearl District
Presenting food lovers with a chance to sample several signature dishes and drinks of local restaurants, this delectable event highlights the cuisine culture of The Pearl while raising money and awareness for the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.
