Life in Portland

The Freedom Series: A Photography Exhibit by The Sold Project

We may have not fully anticipated how opening the doors of our N. Williams office to society-positive events and gatherings would impact our staff on a personal level, but that is exactly what has happened. Last month we hosted a PDX Girls and Women’s Empowerment session, which kicked off with a much-needed bout of Tai Chi, followed by some rather shocking yet informative discourse on Portland’s unusual and prevalent sex industry. The meeting was both educational and enriching, and we’re looking forward to seeing them all again in the near future (we’ll keep you posted.)

But this Sunday, again at our 3041 N. Williams Ave. location, we’re very proud to affiliate with The SOLD Project's photographic exhibit of The Freedom Series, presented by Half Sky Journeys. The SOLD Project is a Thailand-based non-profit that works to prevent child prostitution through culturally relevant education – by providing scholarships and resources to children at risk – and all proceeds from photographs sold at this free event will fund their scholarship, mentorship, and awareness campaigns. Food and wine is provided, and we encourage you to join us on Sunday, December 15th, 6 PM – 8 PM, and experience this beautiful photographic exhibit, and the inspirational group of people behind it. So that we can get a clear estimate on attendance, please register and RSVP on their EventBrite page!
