Shakespeare in the (Memorial) Park. A ghost plays a pivotal role in Hamlet, so what better venue than a cemetery to watch the Portland Actors Ensemble perform the play? The pastoral and historic Lone Fir Pioneer Cemeterymakes a fitting backdrop for what is arguably Shakespeare’s greatest Tragedy. Admission is free.

KIDS COOK AT THE MARKET

The Portland Farmer’s Market at PSU offers a series of kids’ cooking classes. For just $5, 7-11 year olds are paired up with professional chefs to learn about the seasonality of food through a guided market tour, purchase ingredients from local farmers, and then gain experience preparing yummy snacks.
