Every other Saturday you can find Brooke Budy walking backwards through downtown Portland telling stories about his favorite city, while being followed by a small group of eager tourists. As a “resident expert” at Portland Walking Tours, Brooke’s knowledge of our city’s history and architecture serves as a strong foundation for his work as a real estate Broker for Urban Nest.
Gifted with a power for opening bottles of Champagne without making a loud *pop*, Brooke travels to France once a year to refresh his love for French language, culture, and wine, while also guiding Americans through Champagne and Burgundy wine country with Oregon winemaker, Scott Paul Wright.
As listing specialist for the Rachel & Holly team, Brooke's experience as a licensed broker, tour guide, and art school graduate come together. He loves working with sellers to give them the highest quality of service, from initial staging walk-through, to open house, to offer review, to closing!
Some days Brooke wishes he could step out of his condo near the St Johns Bridge and onto the Paris metro and wind up wandering the Left Bank with a baguette under his arm. Barring that, he'll take a walking trail along the Willamette and a basket of hand-picked, locally-grown berries from Sauvie Island.
Favorite Portland neighborhood, and why? Brooke loves his little town of St Johns (which has only been part of Portland since 1915) with its real downtown and European walkability, easy access to public transit, and refreshing blend of older homes and newer condos.
